Rachael Austin for Board of Education

Rachel is a current member of
the Board of Education. She is chair of the
Hord Foundation Internship/Co-op program, is
employed by Webster Bank and is pursuing her
master's degree at the University of Bridgeport.
She is the proud mom of three boys.

Board of Education member, Gladys wants to
continue her good work. She is a member of
the NAACP, the New Hope Baptist Church, and a
trustee at the Magnet School. She is a
mentor in the Danbury School system and a youth
advisor at her church.

resident, Kevin is a practicing attorney in Danbury
practicing Criminal Defense and Real Estate Law. |

Anthony DiCaprio for Zoning Commission
Anthony
has lived in Danbury since March 1985. He has been a
zoning commissioner since 1990, with two years off
from 2004 to 2006. He has two businesses, mortgages
and tax preparation, providing these services for 22
years. Anthony graduated from Pace University, is
president of the Danbury Sunrise Rotary Club, is
married for 36 years and has three grown children.
His hobbies are baseball and opera. Anthony can be

James Gay for Zoning Commission

Jim
has been a resident of Danbury since July 1988. He
has been an active member of Danbury's volunteer
fire department Padanaram Hose Company #3 Inc. since
August of 1988. He has worked his way up through the
ranks and currently holds the position of Captain a
position that he has held for 7 years. He is past
President of the Volunteer Fireman's Association. He
is currently the recording secretary of Local Lodge
983 of the International Association of Machinist
and Aerospace Workers as well as a shop steward. He
has worked at Heli - Coil for 19 years. He has been
married to his wife Karen for 16 years. His hobbies
include playing softball in the Danbury Industrial
Softball League as well as other leagues for the
last 20 years. He also works lot security at the
Saturday night cruise at Marcus Diary where he shows
off his antique car.

Ted has been involved
with many aspects of the Danbury community including
the Equal Rights & Opportunities Commission, the
Flood & Erosion Control Board, the Zoning Board of
Appeals, and the DDTC. |

Richard Jowdy for Zoning Commission
Rick is an
investor with a BA from Sacred Heart University.
He is an organizer and commission member of the
CityCenter tax district. He is currently on
the zoning commission as is a member of St.
Anthony's Church and the Lebanon American Club.

Bruce is a Member & Vice Chair of the
Environmental Impact Commission and was a
Member of Danbury Zoning Commission from
1996 to 1999.
He is an Audio & Video Consultant for
Tweeter Home Entertainment Group.
He received his BBA from Western Connecticut
State University and was a m member of WCSU
Alumni Association. He is on the
Danbury Democratic Town Committee and is a

Mike is a life long resident City of Danbury.
He attended St. Peter’s School and Danbury High
School. He was a United States Army, Sgt From
1968 –1970 and is a Viet Nam War Veteran. He
is a retired Firefighter/Emergency Medical Services
Coordinator for the City of Danbury after 27 Years
of service. He is the Past Secretary, Danbury
Firefighters Union Local 801, a member of the
Danbury Lions Club, Richter Park Men’s Club,
American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Catholic
War Veterans & Veterans of the Vietnam War, Inc.
He is also the Past President of Danbury Athletic
Youth Organization and is serving in his fifth term
as an Active Constable for the City of Danbury
